Hankscraft has been in business for over 75 years creating dynamic displays and POP (Point of Purchase) products for businesses for the display industry. We design, manufacture, and take great pride in the quality of our products and the level of service we provide to our customers.

Overview:

This person will be responsible for design and engineering support for new and existing display motors, electronic assemblies and other related products.  It is a hands-on position, responsible for completion of prototypes and coordination of first production runs in support of the Sales and Production departments.  Responsibilities include bringing a product from idea/concept through design, prototyping, and manufacturing with input from sales and customers.  This person must be capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously, keeping short timelines on schedule, and reporting on project status as requested.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with development, prototyping and testing of new products for motor design and assembly, LEDs, printed circuit boards (PCBs) LCD Displays, microprocessors, analog and digital components, small electric and DC motors, electrical components and other assemblies.

• Develop and fabricate electronic samples and prototypes for POP displays, illuminated signs, per customer requirements.

• Develop detailed technical drawings and specifications for products, manufacturing fixtures, and tooling, using 2D DraftSight CAD and 3D SolidWorks CAD software.

• Redesign and enhance performance of existing products to meet project specific requirements.

• Coordinate product specifications and requirements with international team in China

• Provide technical support to Sales Group and other project team members.

• Participate and provide input in design meetings and brainstorming sessions.

• Assist with project quoting and estimating.

• Create and update new and existing BOMs as needed.

• Interface with other project team members, suppliers, and customers during project life cycle.

• The ability to assist with programming of CNC router is a plus.

Job Skills and Qualifications Required:

• Electronic engineering experience with electrical/mechanical assembly background desired.

• Experience with LEDs, PCB layouts, IR technology, and LCD displays.

• Ability to produce prototype PCBs using hand tools and hand soldering of components.

• Detail oriented individual.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Solid Works or similar solid based CAD program.

• Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office.

• Python and C# programming is a plus.

• Familiar with product demos such as Blender.
